RUC: Event Management - Being realistic with your budget @ 5:15PM PST

Location

Just like in first life running an event is not cheap. You need to take into consideration everything from tier payment (if you have your own venue) to artist fees or whether you want to manage a venue (this would cut out the extra tier payment) If you're not willing to lose money you shouldn't be running a venue. Second Life venues do not make money. More venues than not close because they get in over their heads and are not realistic with their expectations.
Class will be held in voice

JWheels Presents Effinjay Live from Saint Leo University @ 7PM PST

Location

Frogg Marlowe & Jaycatt
Their regular Friday night performances have been running for six years now, currently at Jaycatt’s venue ‘AmphibiCatt Gardens’. The shows are extremely popular, and as well as having a large loyal fan base, they entertain and delight the live music lovers of SecondLife, playing on average 6 live shows a week. Frogg and Jaycatt’s fame in SL has caught the attention of the music industry. They have been interviewed by Rolling Stone Magazine and MTV. Frogg was a vocal jazz minor at college, while Jay studied piano for 14 years, and together as singer/songwriters they have produced a comprehensive range of heartfelt and memorable melodies and poetically lyrical songs. Musical influences include Mannheim Steamroller, Simon and Garfunkle, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and Frank Zappa.

JWheels Presents Shannon Oherlihy Live from Saint Leo University @ 6PM PST

Shannon Oherlihy is a singer/songwriter/ guitar player based in Stratford, CT. She has been singing since she was a little girl, when she sang into her hairbrush along with Carly Simon records. When she was nine, she got her first guitar, and started writing her own songs at the age of ten. Inspired by the music of John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins and Bob Dylan
