RUC: Event Management – Promotion Starts @ 5:15PM PDT

Location


Learning to use resources such as blogs, Twitter, Facebook or any other promotion avenue available to you. You'll learn when and how to post in Second Life Events. How to use group notices and IM's effectively. Even in some cases how to make a show available to people who aren't in Second Life, such as Livestream. Having a note card during the show with shout outs asking for venue and artist tips, promoting your blog, Facebook, Twitter or venue groups. Learning to prepare for your show.
Class will be held in voice and students will be expected to show up 45 minutes prior to an event so class can start on time.

RUC: Event Management - Booking an artist Starts @ 5:15 PM PDT

Location


You will learn the basics of booking an artist. Learning to negotiate fees, learning who the manager's are, getting a list of the artists who you may want to work with, as well as availability. Using Google calendars to keep track of bookings.
